Beach Gals - Carolyn

I just returned from a "road trip" to Destin, Florida. I went with retired friends, from my Rose Acres teaching days, Carol and Marcia! We enjoyed the beach - spent lots of time laughing, chatting, reading, and soaking up the rays! Each evening we searched for a new dining adventure! This picture was taken at The Back Porch. You can tell we had spent the day in the sun!

This weekend saw our family in lots of different directions:

Carolyn - Destin, Florida with her friends Carol and Marcia
Marlin and Eric - Monticello. IL (Kruse home) hanging out with Matthew
Lori, Rod, Jake - college visit for Jake to Northern Illinois University
Colton and Kyle - Murray State University, Murray, KY - band competition
(This is where Grandpa played college football - we all went last year!)
Carla and Nancy - spent Saturday at an All Day Crop
JD -enjoyed the quiet at home with College Football games!

It was a good weekend for all!

These are JD and Carla's three boys - Kyle (16), Colton (18) and Eric (13). We had gone out for lunch on Sunday and I was able to get them (not happy about it) to let me take their picture. Grandpa and Eric will be at the Kruse home this weekend and maybe we can get a picture of Jake and Matt!

Ne-O-Tez Golf Tournament

Saturday was a picture perfect day here is St. Louis! It was also the Camp golf tournament. We had a great time. Thanks to Chuck Pudiwitr for organizing this event (funny how his team always seems to win!) JD, Carla and Eric were awesome! They helped me as we drove the snack carts delivering drinks/snacks to all the players. Guess what - I decided that the golf tournament was a lot more fun than a garage sale!?!

SCW Band Takes 1st Place

Just a quick update to let you know that the St Charles West Band took first place in their division at their competition on Saturday - way to go Colton and Kyle! In the overall scoring they took 4th place. They got 1st place for their visual performance and also for their Color Guard. All those early morning practices and evenings pay off! They head to Murray State University this weekend for a competition. Go Marching Warriors!

Dress Rehersal - SCW Marching Warriors

This Saturday the St. Charles Marching Warriors begin their

season of competition. Tonight there was a dress rehersal

for band families and friends. It was awesome! It is amazing

how far they have come since we saw them in the early prep

stage of their show at band camp. Good luck Colton and Kyle!

Ne-O-Tez Happenings

We had 20 teams of teens playing volleyball for Camp!

Wow -what a weekend for camp! Saturday we had a Garage Sale for Camp Ne-O-Tez - what an event. We raised $2020 for Camp! The good things just kept happening . . .Sunday was the Annual Sand Volleyball Tournament for Camp! It was a hot day but NO RAIN so we were happy ab0ut that. This event raised $2600 for Camp. If you are a golfer and want to get in on some camp action next Saturday, Sept 15th is our Golf Tourney.
