Hoop City Classic - Kansas City

Last weekend Marlin, Carolyn, Lori, Matt, Nancy, Kyle and Eric went to Kansas City for the Hoop City Classic. Matt's team, Spiece Indy Heat was playing in the tournament. They played up a grade and made it to the Elite Eight. We were his loyal cheering fans! We managed to do a few things along with 6 basketball games!

Kyle and Eric are great spectators. I got a kick out of watching all the NCAA coaches and trying to figure out who they were.
Eating at Winstead's by the UMKC campus where Matt was playing.

Saturday morning we went to Power Play - a gigantic arcade to burn off energy before a 12:45 game!

Sunday we went to the NCAA Basketball Hall of Fame and College Basketball Experience. It is a huge interactive basketball exhibit! We were there for a couple of hours. We all tried our hand at shooting, dunking, and broadcasting!

Our 4th of July

We started out the day with worship services and then headed to the Bridgeton Parade. Mom and Margaret have been on special events together for several years (they are both retired Pattonville teachers). We had yummy burgers and hot dogs at home then headed out to BMAC for th Bridgeton fireworks. We always sit in the same spot and it is so much fun to see all our friends from the area. JD and Carla catch up with B'ton friends.
