Rock Climbing with Jake!

Jake left Monday, June 21st for a trip to Utah and Oregon. He was meeting up with a college buddy and they were going to rock climb in Utah and Oregon. He flew out of St. Louis to Salt Lake City, Utah. His backpack had everything he needs and only weighed 45 pounds!

From the back - he did have to remove the yellow mattress pad and place in his bag as it would not have survived the baggage carrier.

Meet the Teigen Family - our new Minister!

June 1st, Jimmy Teigen began as the pulpit minister at Maryland Heights Church of Christ. Below is his lovely wife, Amber and precious daughter, Corrina. We are so excited to have them with us. Come by some Sunday and meet the Teigen's! J.D. took this picture when they came for a visit at Camp Ne-O-Tez - isn't it great!?!

Happy Birthday Carolyn - Mom - Grandma!

Happy Birthday Carolyn - Mom - Grandma! Carolyn was born June 19th in Buckner, Il to Paul and Helen Overturf. She graduated from Christopher High School and in 1958 from SIU Carbondale. That same year she married Marlin. She loves her family and the Lord. She spends countless hours volunteering at Camp Ne-O-Tez, teaching 2 and 3's at Maryland Heights, volunteering at Community Helping Ministries and Bridgeton Special Events. Her most favored times are with her family and 5 grandsons (which she thinks are the best!) Happy Birthday - enjoy your day!

Last week saw Marlin, Carolyn, Nancy, JD, Carla, Kyle, Eric, Lori, Matt, Mike, Carol and Zoe at Pre-Camp at Camp Ne-O-Tez. We had a wonderful camp session. It is a family tradition! JD modeling his memory verse shirt - when the lights went down he glowed!

We went down to the River. . . .

Saturday, June 5th at Camp Ne-O-Tez was a new birthday for Matt Kruse. Matt chose to be baptized that evening about 9:30 pm. He and his Mother, Lori were there to work at Pre-Camp. Matt asked his Grandpa to baptize him - what a glorious moment. Matt -we are proud of you!

Eric had his Thespian Banquet tonight. He has worked on set building and as a stage hand on the Fall and Spring Plays at St. Charles West. Doesn't he look handsome?
