Matthew's 8th Grade Art Project

Over his spring break Matthew and his buddy came to work on their 8th grade art projects with Grandpa. This is a project that is done outside of class time. Matt and Grandpa worked together and designed and built an Illini table (imagine that theme!)

What a great job Matt did on his table - Grandpa had a blast working with him!

A little more Hoppy Easter Fun!

Easter Sunday we had JD and Carla and boys, Aunt Carol and Uncle Mike and Susan and Mark and their four kiddos! The Henley guys hid the eggs for the Ward kiddos to find! What a blessing family is!

Easter with the Henley Guys!

We went to the Cardinal game on Saturday before Easter and when we came to Grandma and Grandpa's house the Easter bunny and the pizza delivery man had come! We had pizza and then Colton, Kyle and Eric went on an egg hunt. In their eggs there were dollars, 1/2 dollar coins, McDonalds money and scratch off tickets! We all thought we should have hunted eggs with them! We sent Jake's Easter Egg Hunt to him in a box at college and Matt was playing basketball so we sent him a basket of filled eggs! Never too old for the Easter Bunny!

Church of Christ Day at the Ballpark!

Saturday - April 11th was Church of Christ Day at the ballpark. This is a benefit and through the ticket sales funds are raised for Camp Ne-O-Tez, CFS, and Christian Academy. The Cards won 11- 2! It was truly a grand slam day with each organization receiving $1044 and Albert Pujols hitting a grand slam.
Thanks to Vicki Bearden for her hard work coordinating this event!

Take Me Out to the Ballpark!

Last week Lori, Matthew and his buddy Ryan came to STL. We got together with Kyle and Eric (also on spring break) and headed for our traditional spring break adventure. We start the day at Gus's Pretzels and then head to the ballpark. Typically, we walk around see what's new and check out the gift shop. You always need a new Cardinal shirt to start the season!

Since Ryan, Matt and Lori have never been on a stadium tour we decided to add that to this year's trip. We missed having Famous Ed (Tritschler) as our tour guide! He is the best!

We finished off with a late lunch at Blueberry Hill!
