COC Day at the Ballpark!

Church of Christ Day at the ballpark is a great way to start our Cardinal season. Beautiful weather for a spring game and the Cardinals won!  Here are a few pictures from the day!

Only a year ago . . .

April 22, 2011 a F4 tornado roared through Bridgeton.  We had a lot of damage to home, yard and all 3 vehicles.  Our landscape has forever been changed by the trees that were toppled and tossed.  Blue tarps dominated rooftops for months! Blessing was that nobody in area was hurt or killed  - so much more fortunate than those that have followed this past year.  Thank you Lord for protecting us.  Here are a few pics of some damage.

Privacy Fence was toppled -tree was a Christmas tree we had planted as kids

We never saw these houses before from our back deck

Spring Break Visit to Harding

Lori, Matt and Nancy made a trip to Harding University over spring break.  We had a great time visiting with Colton and others from Maryland Heights. Matt was checking out Harding.  Lori and I said many things have changed on campus but the spirit of Harding remains unchanged!

Happy Easter

This is a flashback from Easter 2003 - this year 2012 everyone is scattered - part of them growing up! Colton is at Harding and JD,Carla, Kyle and Eric popped down for a quick visit. Jake is at NIU (finishing up his senior year - graduation in about a month!) and Matt is playing in a basketball showcase in Cincinnati (Lori and Rod with him). They still got Crown Candy bunnies and eggs filled with $ and candy - we just mailed or sent them along for the trip! Blessings to each of you and your family for a Happy Easter! We are grateful of all our blessings as we remember our Good Friday tornado last year!

Colton's Big Project -Rain Forest Unit

Colton just completed his unit on the Rain Forest for one of his classes at Harding University.  Colton is an elementary education major.  You can see he was able to use some "authentic" items from Aunt Lori and Aunt Nancy's mission trip to Papua New Guinea.  Good job Colton!

Colton thought these dolls were a little "creepy"!
