"Girl" Shopping

Carla, Carolyn and Nancy headed out on Friday afternoon for their version of "Black Friday". This involves NO malls but fun boutique type shops! Our favorite is Oma's Barn (Hwy 79). We had a great time also at Robin's Nest, White Hare, Willow Lake and a few more!
Carla and Carolyn already gathering treasures! Getting back to JD and Carla's house - just a sampling of our bags!

We are thankful for . . .

Colton, Matthew, Eric, Kyle and Jake! What awesome nephews.

Dad gets the break on the wishbone!

We are so blessed!

Happy Thanksgiving - we are so blessed. All of us will be together to share a Thanksgiving meal. Mom and Dad have the turkey baking - the turkey and ham are smoked. Lori is here with homemade rolls and Carla is bringing corn pudding. We will have Grannie O's cranberry salad and I finished the green bean bundles. Mashed and sweet potatoes and dressing will finish out the meal. Yummy pies but best of all the 12 of us sharing time together. Thank you Lord for blessing us!

More Fun to Play in the Leaves than Rake the Leaves!

Lexi and Gracie had a ball playing in the leaves at my house this weekend. They came to spend the night on Friday night and we had a grand time . . Steak-N-Shake for dinner, trip to Target, Eric's basketball game on Sat, playing in the yard with Kyle and Eric, lunch at White Castle, the $1 show to see Space Chimps and the bonus of Colton being the usher and then hide-n-seek with the guys before going home! Saturday night Colton, Kyle and Eric hung out here for pizza and to watch Texas Tech - OK game - by halftime we knew the game was over!
Kyle and the not so fun part of raking . . then bagging and bagging and bagging!

Eric appears to be ready to attack the leaves!

Lexi and Gracie having so much fun in the leaves. Their childish giggles rang out across the yard. They wanted to be buried in the leaves, jump in the leaves and make it rain leaves!

Eric and Basketball

Today Eric had a basketball game this morning. While it wasn't a win it was still fun to get to watch him play. Gracie and Lexi went with us to the game -several times in a quiet gym Gracie would holler out "Go Eric"!

Who Do You Think This Is?

Updated: This is a guy who was a scout for MICDS at a football game, so I don't know his name but for those who guessed Chuck Pudiwitr we are with you! All of us at the game thought it was Chuck at first - Colton about flipped off the bleachers when I started to take pics of him - just wanted to see who else thought it was Chuck! Thanks for being good sports! (Talked to Ang and Alissa and they both thought Chuck but then thought no it has to be someone famous!)

Christmas in Branson

This morning it was rainy in Branson. We headed to the Grand Village Shops, Marlin is a good sport and let us shop and he took bags back to van for us. We ate lunch at Mel's Hard Luck Diner where Mom made a new "friend"!

We headed over to SDC this afternoon and caught the Dickens Christmas Carol and a Holiday Music show. We watched the electric light parade again and then decided to call it a night. It was cold and windy.

Christmas Time at Silver Dollar City

Marlin, Carolyn and Nancy are in Branson for a few days. Last night we did the Andy Williams show - oh my he is getting up there in age! We spent the afternoon and evening at Silver Dollar City. We enjoyed several Christmas shows and the sing-a-long train ride! Seems like around every corner one of us would say, "remember how the boys liked that, did that, ate that - we were here for two Thanksgivings several years ago).

Halloween Fun

Each year we have a Halloween Open House - so much fun! Awesome friends, incredible weather, fall food, and unreal costumes from the young to the older! We had a variety of "guests"!

Eric as the "Burger King King" and Angie as J.Lo - she said she had the hoops, the velour and the booty!

Susan dressed as the "Bride of Frankenstein" - way to recycle your wedding veil! Jeff Horton was dressed as a "rocker" or Chuck Pudiwitr!
Lexi as Hannah Montana and Gracie as a darling Kitty Cat!
After 5 years of being at Harding it was great to have Jeffrey back at the party. He started coming when he was a young kiddo! We have hosted this Open House since 1989.
