Harding University

Colton is going to be a transfer student to Harding University in the fall. His plans are to be an elementary teacher. J.D.'s family and Nancy went 3/18-20 for Colton to meet with his advisor and finalize things. Nancy graduated in May 1982 and hadn't been back since 1988. We had a wonderful time. Chapel was especially poignant as it was a memorial to Jim Bill McInteer. Dr. Burks and Dr. Ganus both spoke.
Given the sports crazies in our family we had to check out Rhodes Field House where the Bison Basketball team plays. Colton plans on being a Rhodes Rowdy next year!
What a blessing to have a group of kids from Maryland Heights at Harding this year. Colton will be rooming with tim Landuyt (black shirt). Tim was a transfer student this semester.

I lived in Cathcart 231 my freshman year. Carla and I made a trip inside to find my "old" room! Funny when I was a 17 year old freshman that dorm looked a whole lot bigger!

Posing in a Harding swing!

Colton, we are proud of the decision you have made to attend Harding!
On the way home we got on Business 67 and went through Walnut Ridge. We were looking for the bbq place that Dad and Uncle Mike loved! Lori and Nancy used to bring home bbq from their for them. It is still there and looks about the same inside and out. Nancy brought home bbq for Dad!
While much has changed on campus much remains the same as I remembered. So excited for Colton to have the Harding experience.
